Carlson Reunion Date Announcement - Chicago

 Carlson Reunion 2026

Hello all, 

I saw some great photos pop up on Facebook memories from our wonderful weekend in Boston at Kims house, and wanted to update everyone on plans for Carlson Reunion 2026. 

We initially thought to hold the reunion in September of 2026, but after talking it out, we realized that so many of the school aged crowd wouldn’t be able to come, because of school and activities. 
NOTE: THIS IS AN OLD BLOG POST, the new date is July 17 - 19, 2026
 June 12-14, 2026 will be our next reunion, in Chicago. 
(Please let me know if there is a big wedding or event where a family group wouldn’t be able to attend.)

Here is a tentative plan. 

Friday:
Our house (Bartlett, IL) dinner and gathering. 

Saturday: 
A Day Downtown Chicago. 
I’m working with a tour company that I’ve worked with in the past. We’re putting together fun things for everyone to do together. 
Architectural Boat Tour
Deep Dish Pizza lunch 
Some Free time
A 2-2.5 hour Bus Tour to some interesting neighborhoods, sights, views around Chicago, (many that I haven’t visited!) to give everyone a view of Chicago other than the typical sights that many have already seen. 

Sat night, return either back to your hotels/AirBnB or back to my house to chill. I’m also looking into transportation options to and from the city.

Sunday:
Brunch/Lunch at our house, stay as long as you like for a relaxing day. 

Hopefully this will give everyone some family time with their own families, as well as gathering with the extended family at our house. 
This will also double as a fun filled, "touristy" sight seeing (and eating) day in Chicago, doing things that you might not normally do! 

Once I get more information from the tour company, I will let you know pricing and choices of activities.

Bus Tour and Deposit Request February 23, 2026 Hello Family! Thank you to everyone who took the survey about your intentions to come to the reunion July 17-19, 2026. Happy New Year! Our reunion is only 179 days away!

Hello Carlson extended family. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday with family and friends. I was happy to see so many photos and cards in my mailbox! Reunion update:  Not much new, but just to make sure everyone still has the date, Friday, July 17 - Sunday, July 19, 2026 on the calendar.  I'm working on our Saturday excursion to the city.  Please click on the form link below and let me know if you are INTERESTED in the following.
